'Vintage Patterns In Modern Yarns'

This year The Wool & Craft Shop in Swanage, Dorset is celebrating its centenary - 100 years of supplying yarn and crafts to Purbeck and surrounding areas.

As part ot our centenary celebrations, Ann & Marianne would like to invite you to enter our Centenary Competition, 'Vintage Patterns In Modern Yarns'.  Choose any knitting pattern that is dated pre 1970 and, matching an appropriate yarn, knit your item, bringing it back to life in 2007!

Anyone who purchases yarn for the competition from The Wool & Craft Shop will receive a 10% discount on their purchase.

Competition Rules

Closing date 10th January 2008.  Judging to take place in February 2008 and an independant judge will allocate prizes judged on quality of execution and interpretation of pattern using modern yarns.  Name, Address and telephone number must be sent with garment.  A copy of the pattern used must be sent with the finished garment.  (photocopies acceptable).  Any items submitted can be collected from the shop in March 2008 - a further 5% discount on purchases will be given on top of existing discount or prize vouchers if presented on day of collection.  If you wish your entry to be returned by post, an addressed envelope along with the correct postage must be supplied with the entry.  The Wool & Craft Shop cannot be held resposible for any loss or damage, and strongly recommend that you obtain a proof of postage when sending your entry.  Judges decision is final.
